Ok, I've only been here a couple of days, and I really like the idea both behind the site, and the direction it could take. All this place needs is a larger community, right? Well, one thing I noticed lacking on this site present on many other communities is the presence of a PM system, no inbox or what have you.

I use it a lot on some other sites I frequent to chat it up with people on the site off the forums. While I understand that there are links on profiles to MSN/AIM/Yahoo messengers and MySpace and what have you, but the sheer convenience of a PM system is what gets it use. I think it would make a good addition to the site.

Additionally, you might want to open up the avatar size a bit, perhaps 50x50 or 75x75, and allow links from image hosting sites to be used instead of having to host it on our site solely. Avatars allow easy identification of users, and are generally more memorable than user names, and at the moment ours are teeny. Don't know if this is due to bandwidth usage caused by us hosting the av's or not, but I'd look into it.

I think you may have missed the link in the top right corner of your page that says "Messages"?

Don't feel too bad, it's partially our fault for not emphasizing it enough, since the text is pretty dang small. This however will be fixed in the new layout that we're working on, so hang tight a few more weeks.

As for avatar size, we may consider increasing the size later on. The reason for the small limit is that it fits in well with the profile page, as well as the forum, but I think 75x75 may be acceptable.
