What are the maximum file size and dimensions for user' Avatars and articles' Display Icons? It might be helpful to post that information on the profile-editing and submission pages, along with the accepted image formats.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've added support to both .jpeg and .gif images for both user avatars and article icons.

All right, so both Icons and Avatars are 40x40 pixels, JPG or GIF.rnrnI just didn't want to submit a big image and then have it squashed. Resizing images to the right dimensions before uploading is probably a better idea.

Oh My God Chaotictheory. Sometimes I think you just post shit on the forum just so that you can stare at your horrible avatar and your lacking language mechaincs. No fucking shit you can get a smaller picture, I mean, thats not the most obvious solution out there, is it? Or would it be better just to download some widescreen format picture, like 1920x1200, and just watch the distortion happen when its shrunken down to proper size? I personally think that this is the more viable option, since your option just seemes too obvious to have been needed to be stated. Thank you Chaotictheory, for saving my life, yet again.

This trip on the Sarcasm Mobile is brought to you courtsey of Epic Teammate and Epic Teammate's Seal of Stupidity Award Ceremony. If you get one, by God you deserve it! :D

Well thank you asshole not like i wasn't being sarcastic and i guess I'm not perfect like you are and feel the need to rip on other people when on a forum being grammatically correct isn't always necessary.

Absolutely no problem Chaotictheory. I am here just to piss you off, and I seem to be doing just that. I hope that you have enjoyed my disclosures so far, and will enjoy those of the future.

Oh really? That's what you were going for? Damn, now I feel like a fool. Of course you were trying to be sarcastic, but the way in which you go about sarcasm is unfunny and completely and utterly futile.

You are damn right you aren't perfect like I am, because I'm not perfect. Though I'm pretty sure you are the lowest rank on the perfection scale, since you can't even seem to be able to throw together a simple sentence without misspelling something or slapping it together with another thought making a run-on. Do you even care what your intelligence level looks like on this forum? Forums are a place to exchange knowledge, and if you look like a complete and utter retarded, which I will state, you are successfully pulling off so far, people are not going to want to even consider helping you. Pull your shit together man.

This is true. It isn't always required to be grammatically correct no a forum, but it is a common courtesy that is much appreciated when exercised. I bet most people don't enjoy having to look at the slop you call posts on this forum, which generally consist of a one-liner that doesn't even tickle the brain's funny center. At least make an effort to not look like a complete and utter dumb ass, it would be much appreciated by the entire forum.

I now must apologize to all the rest of the Papertank users that have viewed this. I have digressed from the point of this thread, and I apologize. I will now cease and desist posting off topic in this thread.

I just have a basic comment about the need for pictures with an article. The thumbnail winds up a pinkynail that's pretty hard to see but forgoing the image doesn't seem to be an option. I don't really see a need to have a photo beside my article, but I noticed I couldn't post without it. It's nice I suppose, but not really necessary to me.
