Here's just a rough outline of the major events I want to happen during it... what do you think?

-Events:

Pac-Man starts at his job as a high score organizer at VG Inc. It's Friday afternoon, and he's getting ready to post the weekly top scorers before going up to his boss, asking for a promotion.

His friend, Super Mario, who works in the same building, at the Atari Wing, informs him that he overheard Pac-Man's boss talking about how there are really no positions for new employees past the daily high score regions in his department, and that promotion is virtually impossible
.
Pac-Man, not believing Mario at first, talks to his boss, Donkey Kong, who informs him that Mario's presumptions are dead on.

Pac-Man, depressed, goes back to his apartment after leaving work, and calls his friends, Mario, Star Man, and Princess Peach to go out later that night.

Pac-Man and his entourage meet up at a local club later. They dance and have a good time, while drinking.

After the club closes, Star Man suggests that they go to a “friend's of his”. This friend's place contains a life-size replica of a Pac-Man game, complete with ghosts.

The friend of Star Man's, Q-Bert notes that the power pills and pellets are twenty times more powerful than anything found in the amusement market. This was nothing Pac-Man had ever experienced.

Pac-Man runs the course once, under the influence of pills from the start. Saturday, Pac-Man recovers from his night of partying, just to get a phone call from Donkey Kong.

Donkey Kong informs Pac-Man that Ms. Pac-Man sent him pictures of Pac-Man using the power pills. He fires him.

For the next week, Pac-Man looks for new jobs. He finds several within the video game industry, but he's deemed to be “too old” to connect with the current generation of gamers. As he has no experience in any other field, he can't work anywhere else.

As the week ends, he goes back to Q-Bert's place, and plays more. For hours, he takes power pills and pellets, until he can't even walk.

The police bust in. Q-Bert shoots at the police, however, the police retaliate, killing Q-Bert. They rush the barely conscious Pac-Man to the hospital, where they nurse him back to life.
As Pac-Man wakes up in the hospital, the doctors inform him that he should go to rehab, but the police refuse, saying that prison is the right thing for a druggie scumbag like him.

Pac-Man finds himself in a jail cell, next to Link.

Link tells Pac-Man that he's in prison for molesting Princess Zelda.

Pac-Man, while out for lunch, gets gang-beaten by Bowser and his cronies
Bowser says to Pac-Man “Send my best to yah good pal Mario.”

A year later, Pac-Man gets out. He's hurt, emotionally and physically.

He calls his friends up, only to hear a myriad of “Fuck you, druggie” and “Go away, Pac-Fag.”
He goes to a local Power Pill Palace, to meet up with a very angry Pac-Woman.

Pac-Woman and Pac-Man start talking, and Pac-Woman reveals that her boyfriend is addicted to power pills and is helpless to their spell.

Pac-Man manages to get Pac-Woman out on a date.

Over the next month, Pac-Man gets a well paying job, and the love of Pac-Woman.

Things go great for about 6 months.

On an unfortunate trip downtown, Blinky, the Pac-Ghost kills Pac-Woman

Pac-Man then goes and beats the Pac-Ghost in a battle to the death

The Pac-Ghost police arrive, surrounding Pac-Man

Pac-Man tries to attack the police, then gets killed.

I think that its a good concept, however you are going to have to be really clever in your writing in order to pull off a good article. What I mean is, it's going to have to include the dynamics of each character, along with some "insider humor" of the video games that each of the characters are in.

You've got a good start, but the humor is going to be the trick.

Sounds great, I think your focusing too much on Nintendo characters though.

There's not really a lot of Nintendo characters there, just Mario and Bowser, the rest are Namco/Arcade characters.
