Currently, this is how the articles are categorized:
Type (1): Opinion, Literature, Essay
Writing Style (1-3): Humor, Satire, Rant, Poetry, Parody, Review, Story, Creative
Topic (1-6): Fantasy, Mystery, Romance, Politics, Video Games, Science, Education, Entertainment, Movies, Music, Religion, Technology, Internet, People, Television, Sports
I'm not sure if Caleb and Justin were planning on expanding the number of categories, or rearranging the way they're listed, but I have some suggestions to make.

First of all, new categories. What ever happened to Science Fiction and Horror and Drama? Those should definitely be included, right up there with Fantasy, Mystery and Romance. We might also want to give people the option of submitting Stageplays or Screenplays or other forms of story-telling (unless that's all covered under Story). And perhaps even Lyrics (although, in writing, it might be indistinguishable from Poetry).
Also, I wanted to point out that the "Topic" heading seems to cover both Topic and Genre. If you think about it, Fantasy, Mystery and Romance are all creative genres, and the rest are simply topics that could be used for any kind of article (most likely reviews or nonfiction). I'm not sure if they should be separated, but to me, it seems like Fantasy, Mystery and Romance would should be grouped with things like Opinion and Humor, which could also be considered genres. Each
"Writing Style" could also be a subcategory of "Type," since I doubt we'll have weird combinations like Poetic Essays or Opinionated Stories.
One more thing. If new categories become available, will we be able to go back and change that part of our own submissions? It probably wouldn't hurt to allow members to re-categorize their articles.

Any other ideas?
