It occurred to me, while looking at the "favorite books" thread, that
It would be kinda cool if we had a sort of book club on here...
Like, we choose a book, give about a month or so to read
(There's some busy schedules around here)
And then, indepth, discuss/review the book.
What are your guys' opinions?
Yea? Nay?

Sounds like a plan! It's funny, just by reading everyone's favorite books I've found some new reading material. Just downloaded 'Ender's Game' from my local library to listen in the car on the way to work!
To be or not to be....that is totally illogical captain.....Spock.

I wouldn't mind re-reading Ender's Game; it's been about three years since I read it last.

I've never read the book.
We should have a master list of books to read.

I've read Ender's Game 3 times, the 3rd time being less than a month ago. Amazing book. The sequels (Speaker for the Dead, Xenocide, Children of the Mind, etc)...aren't very good. The Bean books, however, are amazing.
I've got tons of books to recommend. I'm willing to join up!

Don't make us kick your ass!

The sequels to Ender's game are by far my favorite of the series, much better than the Bean ones which seemed like a rehashing fitting to a different style. I loved his view of humanity, and some of the characters really stood out to me. Jane was pretty cool, too.

I thought so too.
How many of you have read Fahrenheit 451?

Fahrenheit 451 was better than The Giver. Brave New World was better than Fahrenheit 451, and 1984 beats all of those I think.
I feel like there's another dystopian novel I'm forgetting, that had some good points while still managing to be an entertaining read. The books I just mentioned have a tendency to get dry or ignore the characters.

I have yet to read 1984, even after hearing so much about it over the years.
