Only the supremely coincidental that seems to plague my life.
I also noticed a user with the name TinyMachines the same day I posted the article, and I'd titled it three days prior. Heh.

I made some revisions to Tiny Comforts. I'm posting it here because I think it needs a lot more work to be resubmitted again. Hopefully one or two people can point out any glaring errors that I'm missing.

The wee-little ants,
crawling around my bathroom floor,
they are always there, looking for more.

What do they find,
In that whitest of places?
Bare bones, is what I think.

I wonder, should they,
could they leave this place?
For richer pastures and quainter locales?

In my wanderings I step on them,
not on purpose or with malice.
They are merely there, too tiny to avoid.

What do they say,
to convince themselves to stay?
"Nevermind the starving, the killing,
the rotting existence,
we can make a living," perhaps?

Surely they should escape,
but they stay and roam,
forever in their home.
Even ants are afraid, it seems,
of what’s outside the norm.
