A new one? How the heck did I miss out on that?!

Anyway, what are your impressions? Is it worth buying? Or is it just another album you can piss off Lars Ulrich with by downloading?

BUY IT. Dude, this the album. THE mother-effing album of the twentieth century, the one that brings back Metallica and gets their respect back. As I said, PURE OWNAGE.

I hate the single that's on the radio every hour.
At least nobody's talking about the new Judas Priest.

I didn't even know they still exist. I find it a bit funny when I see legendary bands from the sixties and seventies releasing new material that nobody buys, let alone talk about (e.g. Jethro Tull, Black Sabbath, etc.)

I'll have to check out this new Metallica album and see if it's worth the hype.

Well, that was just a concept album for Priest, so it wasn't that great. But Death Magnetic is a must have. Great album; my fav song on there is 'The Unforgiven 3'.

Also another reason why I think it's less than it could be.
And really, how hard is it to outdo Garage Days and St. Anger?
Not very :[

i actually kind of like it. reminds me of real metallica. i remember hearing metallica for the first time back in like 1981 when they were still an unknown, underground band. through the years i have watched them put out crappy album after crappy album and never getting back to their original sound. with the new bass player, they sound like old-school metallica again. their last bass player was a disaster.

a couple of the songs are hokey, but overall it sounds like home again.

“No.” he breathed, disappointment soured his face, “not good enough....
