The taste of Nirvana

The warmth of a lovers touch,
the sound of a sweet song,
the feeling that nothing much
can ever again go wrong.

You see all colors vividly,
soft words from your tongue rise,
while jaw is clenching rigidly,
two black holes in your eyes.

A sour taste rides down your throat,
you swallow all your hatred,
you see the music, every note,
the whole world becomes sacred.

I say to you, and then repeat,
these words I wish you hear,
while concrete melts beneath your feet
I whisper in your ear:

Do feel the beauty of the senses,
let feelings take control,
but know that these new lenses
will one day take their toll.

Put you hate on paper
They won’t know it’s you
All people are the same
Gain major fame
Sign here in blood
And you’ll win the game
It’ll sell well
But a trip to hell
Hell, what’s it matter
Have a bestseller
In your wallet now
Choose wisely
Poverty or riches
Your own bitches
Stop being one
