Welcome to Papertank!

After over a year in development, we are finally live. For those of you who are unfamiliar with this site, Papertank is the ultimate source for writers, providing the tools necessary to expose their talents and improve upon them through means of helpful criticism from readers and other writers. Essentially, its a place for both people who enjoy writing pretty much anything, as well as people who enjoy reading original content. If you would like more information about the site, be sure to check out the About section as well as the Frequently Asked Questions page.

Through the next month we will be in an open beta, which means there will be frequent changes in the site, and there may be a few bugs here and there. If you find any bugs, you can help us out by either posting them in the Suggestion Area forum or emailing us at admin@papertank.com.

Also, if you were a member of The Shadow Sun, be sure to check out the Guide for The Shadow Sun Users to get up to speed on the updates made. If you lost an article that was submitted to the previous site, you can access all of the articles submitted to the previous site by heading over to http://www.theshadowsun.net.

Hey guys, can't wait to start submitting here. I like that you don't have to upload a file to submit, like on the Fourth Perspective. Also, the whit background is less intimidating than that corpsely red on FP. :)

Yeah, the fact that Fourth Perspective only takes PDF files is kind of a drawback. It's not really a problem, once you figure out, and it does allow you to make the submission look however you want... but considering that many people don't have PDF-conversion software, it's not very user-friendly to new members. I haven't really submitted enough articles there to comment on their scoring system, though.

I was a member on the old site, and plan to add a few of my articles on here soon (whenever I get around to editing them).

I like the new site. It looks way better than the old one and the whole feedback process really makes it much easier for authors receive critical reception of their articles.
