When Beauty Dyes

Hair made attractive
Through hours of working,
Daily, even!
A face carefully smothered
In artificial hues.
Clothes chosen distinctively
To accentuate every curve and crevice,
Appealing or not.
Sharpened tongue,
And hands as cold
As her shoulders.

Who wouldn't want to kiss
Those over-glossed and
Fish-scale covered lips?
How can I not love
This magazine model reflection?

Easily.

    I loved the lilting symmetry to the language in this poem, each word seemed to be carefully choosen to compliment the next. So descriptive, (especially 'over-glossed and
    Fish-scale covered lips') and I love how it ended.
