Interesting, intriguing
Posted Sep 4, 2008
The Pros
I really liked this poem. Interesting phrasing and flow, and it had a really interesting ominous feel to it. Dark without being too dark.
The Cons
The only thing I felt uncomfortable with was that the piece felt kind of helter-skelter. The stanzas were nice, but I feel like there could be a bit more organization in there. It could really help the piece.
Final Thoughts
Not bad, not bad at all. Don't have too much to say, I suppose.
Keep up the good work.

General Specific
Posted Jun 16, 2008
The Pros
You paint a really melancholy scene with your words. Reading this was like listening to a soldier's stream of thought as he is right out there in the front line trying to survive. The chaos created within this poem does justice to the impending 'Armageddon' to come. This is actually my favorite poem I've read of yours thus far. Simply an excellent poem.
The Cons
People who aren't avid poetry readers will find this a bit confusing and hard to follow. As always, your word choice is expansive and some may find themselves hitting the dictionary. Especially the title, because I know there are certainly people out there who don't know what Megiddo is or what it represents. But you can't please everyone all the time and expect everyone to understand everything you write. The only personal problem I had was your fluctuation of being vague and suddenly specific.
Final Thoughts
If you love poetry, you'll love this. If you love personal war stories, you'll appreciate this effort. Great poem, great poem.
