Bluebird perch in winter’s bliss,
Red eyed horizon, sun’s sad kiss;
The dye of despair,
The die of Man,
Sinking in the blood streaked sky…
Malignant laugh from the bowels of hell,
Quiet din from Evil’s shell;
The foreshadowing gloom,
The sinful plan,
Awakening in the world’s last cry…
From beneath the earth where life does burn
Below the depths demons’ furnace churns;
The wish of Ill,
The fiery Will,
Of the iron of Satan’s jaws..
Death reigns high from blackbird perch
And devil’s smile makes still souls lurch;
The final toll,
The bell rings full,
Yes; this is why the crows do caw.
