    The Pros
Fun read! It had a nice tone that takes you along the life, death and taste of the salmon. Each stanza really brings the last one into more prospective.
    The Cons
Nothing major here that i could see. It seems like the poem could go on and on in which makes me glad james joyce didn't write it other wise we'd be reading about 400 more stanza and end up on some other random topic. XD
    Final Thoughts
I had fun reading it! Thanks for that :D

    The Pros
There was a bit of humor in the piece, and a lot of word variation.
    The Cons
The wording, though not boring, wasn't perfectly selected. It could use a rewrite with just changing some words into something more palatable. Some of the figurative language was a bit lacking, as well.
The last line, I'd say, felt a bit...cartoon-y.
    Final Thoughts
As I said, there was a fair bit of humor, and as *someone* once said
"When something is humorous, search it for hidden meaning"
(That quote might be a bit paraphrased, and I don't have the time at the moment to look up who said it)
I think there was a tinge of philosophy in the piece that you drew out in the beginning, possibly unaware, and left as you moved on.
You might want to go back and look for it, if it was unintentional.

Thanks for the review. The points you pick out are valid indeed, I literally wrote this in 15 mins as an exercise in alliteration. I love the effect heavy alliteration can have on a piece, gives a balletic and bounding feel to the words, building up momentum throughout the piece. Philosophy was unintentional. It was really a stream of consciousness - then again isn't that what most poetry is?!!!

Jacob Mishkin knew what brought him to his childhood synagogue on that cold November night, but he was unsure whether he could really follow through with it. He had spent countless mornings there in years past, praying to a God he never thought was listening. He would stand when everyone else stood, sit when everyone else sat, and bless God the almighty for bestowing blessings upon hi...
