Author's Commentary
This is hopefully part of a collection thats going of to a poetry journal in a few days but it's the weakest of the bunch and needs and audiences appraisal so I can improve it. Thanx
Is it ok if I keep you?
In the safe box
in my head.
Though we’re older,
even wiser now.
The world changed,
while we wallowed in our rage,
at what had been,
what was to come,
those little hopes now all undone.
Somewhere down that decades line,
I looked and saw, too little time.
But is it ok
if I keep you around,
safe and sound,
There’s always been a place.
