Is it ok if I keep you?
In the safe box
in my head.
Though we’re older,

while we wallowed in our rage,
at what had been,
what was to come,
those little hopes now all undone.
Somewhere down that decades line,
I looked and saw, too little time.

But is it ok
if I keep you around,
safe and sound,
There’s always been a place.

pointing at paradise lost,
