Bleeding ink

Bleeding ink

Poem

My pen bleeds ink
staining purities stink
with vile verse
a greater curse
my vomited rhyme
imitating the sublime
who’s subtle notes
ring in woeful quotes
infernal minds machinations
built of decrepit hearts translations

Her fine white hand to still me
an icy brush of powdery skin.
The beating inferno of the poets heart
frozen, by the blissful touch of apathy
that slays the demon of my disillusion.
My scrabbled lines still shining on the page.
The very twirling of madness, fury, pain
is at last stilled.

No more verbal tapestry
She’s got no love of poetry.

I rather thought she now stood further away from her end of the counter. In her mind I was no doubt shedding ugly on her desk, she had to get further away. Sneaking a peek at my zits (I'm sure she did), she hands me my mail. The word international flashes in the air: I get international mail and your job is to hand it over. Thankyou. Make-up from overseas.
