Author's Commentary
Written about some girl...
I called her Kitten.
(I was in a weird writing mood when I put it together, thus the faux-Shakespearean writing...)
Seemed your body, eternally fresh
When taught me you the delights of your flesh.
Were you but a kitten,
Inspiration to so many words written.
Was I but a friendly imagination
Who found in thee a temptation.
But to my discontent, a Kitten strayed.
When wished I she stayed.
Someday again, I’ll see her,
I feel certain of that.
But where I once saw a Kitten
Will I now see a cat?
Will hopingly I pursue,
Looking for a Kitten I once knew?
