5 Things John McCain Must Do to Win the Election

The fundamentals of this article are very strong.

It’s been a close election this year, with McCain and Barack Obama seemingly neck and neck for the presidential ticket. Recent polls show Obama taking the lead after McCain’s flip-flopping of his stance on the US economy, and his running mate’s inability to remember anything she’s read in the past ten years. McCain will really have to work hard to move ahead in these final coming weeks, and here are five things he must do in order for that to be a possibility.

1. Stop Campaigning

He doesn’t have time to deal with campaigning. There are more important issues at hand that needs his experienced attention. Washington needed his insight on the economy and its fundamentals, and they're going to need him for every other issue currently going on in D.C. Campaigning is not nearly as preeminent as serving the American people. He shouldn’t have started campaigning in the first place. McCain should have stayed within the Senate to solve crisises.

2. Stop Aging

He’s gotten far too old already. In fact, he needs to start reversing his aging process to bring up his sex appeal. There's nothing more important about being a president than sex appeal. His camp needs to start investing heavily in skin care products to get him that silky smooth skin to die for. Speaking of dying, he should really try avoiding that.

3. Start a Smear Campaign Against Obama

I know he’s kept his morals high thus far, but I think it’s time to start getting down and dirty. He needs to start misquoting, misguiding, and misinforming the public about Barack Obama. Possibly start by calling Obama a lipstick wearing pig.

4. Blink More

He simply isn’t blinking enough and it’s taking a toll on his campaign. His blinks per minute have significantly dropped in recent weeks, directly affecting his recent drop in polls.

5. Governor Sarah Palin

Dig a hole. Bury her in it.

Your style is great, you're funny and I think you use just enough words, not too many. I like restraint in a writer because it reflects a commitment to process and craft.

I haven't heard the "blink more" thing before and that made me laugh, but the other points feel recycl... (read more)
